SERVICE CHANGES for DIALUP and MAIL

    We'v had problems with mail server used by most dialup clients recently and after the upgrade, some password may not be restored properly. If you are experienceing problems with mail.biz1.net or mail3.biz1.net mail server, try first using your old password, if that does not work then try using new password you entered for dialup and if that does not work either, please contact support@biz1.net and send in your new password. If you have website hosted by us, you may need to change mail server settings to mail.yourwebsite.com

    If you're current biznet dialup customer and is having problems dialing up, follow s the information on how to reestablish your internet connection:

    First let us apologize for the difficulties you have experienced Thursday Nov 16 and Friday Nov 17. This was caused by our dialup vendor -Ziplink. They'v been experiencing financial difficulaties and have announced that they are closing their operations as of Nov 17. If you want to find out more regarding this please go to http://www.ziplink.com/ziplink/press/111700.shtml.

   We have now established relationship with WorldCom/UUNET - biggest dialup and network provider and the world and this will allow our customers continuting dialup service not only in existing areas previously covered by Ziplink but also in more then 1000 new cities in US and worldwide.

    To make a connection you'll now need to make the following changes:

    1.  Login needs to be changed from "bi/username"  to "bi#username@usb.com", where username is your biznet username, usually part of your email address  (i.e.username@biz1.net).

    2.  Your password currently remains the same however to confirm with new security requirement you'll need to confirm or possibly change it. Please go to this page by Dec 31, 2000: http://www.biz1.net/dialup_confirm.htm

   3. Your phone number for dialup connection will need to be changed. You'll find list of phone numbers below, you can also lookup phone number for your area at http://www.us.uu.net/tools/findapop/index.html

   4. In your email client program (Microsoft Outlook, Eudora, Netscape Messenger), you'll need to change outgoing (SMTP) mail server setting to be "smtp2.biz1.net". For incoming mail server if you have web site hosted by us, please change POP3 server setting to mail.yourdomain.com. If you have only dialup account, you should use mail.biz1.net. If you experience problems with password for mail server, please contact support@biz1.net and send new password to have it reset.
